Recap
Once again, the Gryphons and Brewers matched up for a low-scoring pitching duel on this Monday night at the Sportsplex.  This time the pitchers were Bobby Brooks
for the Gryphons and Matt Battig for the Brewers.
Brooks cruised through the first 4 innings, giving up just 2 hits and no walks.  Battig also cruised through the first 4 innings, although he did load the bases in the
3rd after 2 Gryphon hits and a walk, but was able to get out of it.
In the 5th, both teams threatened to score.  Geoff Magnus got a 1 out, pinch hit single to centre.  Then Joe Beelen singled to right, then after a fielder's choice
and James Marshall steal of second, Scott Tunis hit a 2 out, 2 RBI single just in front of the centre fielder for a 2-0 lead.
After 2 walks and a single by Mussen, Battig's night was done, and Jamie Fitzgerald came in with 2 outs and the bases loaded.  Fitzgerald was able to get a pop up
to get out of the jam.
From there, the Brewers couldn't score in the 6th or 7th and Fitzgerald shut down the Gryphons giving up just 1 infield single to get the save.
